Tom Knight, Representing Friendship Village
Tom moved to Friendship Village in March, 2013 and currently serves on the Scholarship Committee in addition to his NCC duties. He is no stranger to the Northland area having lived in Forest Park East for 30 years during which time he was active in the Forest Park Civic Association, serving as an Area Representative, Block Captain and member of the Welcoming Committee. He graduated from Marshall University (then College) in 1955 with a BA in Elementary Education and in 1967 earned an MA Degree in Administration from OSU. He worked for the Columbus City Schools for more than 30 years as a teacher and as a principal, retiring in 1990. He is married to Barbara, whom he met at Marshall, and they have 2 sons, Tom and Andy, both of whom reside in the Central Ohio area. He served in the US Army from 1956 – 58 and was stationed in France for most of that time.
